We stayed at Silanjana1 and had a fantastic time overall. We had total privacy and the staffs were excellent. Staff were smilling all the time and were very helpful.The villa was a dream come true and was what we wanted. relaxing and peaceful Gending kedis is a great place for honeymooners and for families.I do hope i can come back again.

...I don't know where should i start, i'm completely out of words..just because i'm loosing the right words to describe how great great great of lovely honeymoon we had at Gending Kedis on December 2008. Everything was incredible, made us as a kind of honeymooners couple!
The location, the site, the villa interior, the ambience, the view, the pool, the romantic dinner, the food, the service, the spa, and of course the warm and kindness of all staff... my God! we never forget our honeymoon.
I wasn't stopping kiss my husband for choosing GK for it :)
And I recommend to my friends to go for honeymoon to "our new favorite place at Jimbaran Bay"

We booked a 3 bedroom private pool villa at Gending Kedis through a last minute agent online and stayed there for 3 nights. We are a family of 4 adults with 2 adult children. Each of our children stayed at one of the bedrooms which was just a terrace away from the private pool, and we stayed at the huge master bedroom upstairs. We didn't get the special offer package, so we didn't have the pick up service from the airport. We arrived by airport taxi in the afternoon, and we found that the reception area was not attractive and it was very small. The path to our villa was impressive because it was planted with green vegetation and beautiful flowers. The staff were attentive and they were friendly and helpful. We took some pamphlets from the airport and the reception helped us to book all the tour for the next day. The main pool and the spa were under development. Since the spa was not ready at the villa, we had to look for spa treatments elsewhere. The reception lady helped us to book a local car with driver for the next day because the hotel shuttle didn't run beyond the Jimbaran and airport area. Since we were going to have dinner at the famous Ku-te-da restaurant at Seminyak, we requested the reception lady to book for us a spa at the Seminyak area too. We found the spa that the recepton chose for us was very clean and the treatments were professional, the price was fair and the service was good. We appreciated that very much. We had a candle lit seafood dinner at the famous Jimbaran beach twice. The beach was only minutes away by the hotel shuttle service. The shuttle didn't run on a specific schedule, it stood by the villa at anytime when called "0" from the villa. The hotel shuttle was a nice black mini van and it was driven by the butler on duty. He was very well mannered and he spoke fluent English. He also drove us to the airport when we left. We would like to have last minute shopping for local products on the way to the airport. He dropped us at a local Jimbaran supermarket and waited for us. We appreciated the tranquil setting at the hilltop of the Jimbaran bay. We believe the hotel's name is justified for all the birds' songs that we heard in the early morning when we stayed at Genging Kedis and we would recommend it to my friends.
End of August 08, we had the pleasure of staying 2 nights in the Munia villa and we are very satisfied with the whole experience.
Gending Kedis fulfilled all our expectations : the hill-side setting of the whole complex, the beautiful finishing and layout of our villa, the friendliness and professionalism of the team which surprised us in so many positive ways, our wonderful romantic dinner in our villa, the surrounding... everything was just perfect !
I know that gems like this are hard to find and we are convinced that Gending Kedis will have a bright future.

My friends and I decided to venture out of the normal hotels & resorts whenever we go on holidays and booked a villa instead in Bali. We were pretty awed by the luxurious 3 bedroom villa we were given. We were ecstatic, really.
The spacious living room, the cozy, romantic master bedroom and the two plush rooms in the lower floor was superb. I love the interior designing, how it makes me feel so at home and pampered. The TV, the full kitchen which we whipped up our in-between meals in. (being active young adults and having a good workout at the pool). Our butler provided excellent service whenever we needed the sound system adjusted and when we need to head down to the grocery shop to get cooking needs! He even kindly took us to Uluwatu Temple & waited for us during the Kecak dance. His headgear was stolen by the monkeys but he didn\'t look upset or angry one bit! Having breakfast in our own villa also rocks.
The beds were super comfortable and you won\'t even wake up in the middle of the night if the person next to you toss and turn. Thoroughly enjoyed the service, the villa, everything! Our two nights there seemed so short! We didn\'t want to leave but of course we had to. Definitely returning back. Thumbs up and keep up the excellent service!
After a tiring journey and long queues at Immigration, arriving at Gending Kedis (GK) a short 10 minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport was literally stepping into a hidden sanctuary.
Gending Kedis is a fairly new player on the well-known Jimbaran stretch of swanky resorts and private villas. The main lobby, main pool, gym and spa facilities are currently being built but the 19 luxury pool villas are totally unaffected by the ongoing construction. Clever use of natural bamboo fencing shield guests from the construction and the lush, verdant, carefully planned landscaping makes this a truly beautiful place to stay in.
Every villa has scenic views of the thick vibrant forest gorge from their individual private infinity pool. We had the pleasure of staying in the 4 bedrooms pool villa named Villa Kokokan. Our god-sister's family, another couple and us felt totally at home in our beautifully decorated and very spacious villa. The children practically lived in the pool and most evenings were spent chatting around the Bale’ Bengong (Balinese Gazebo) or by our own poolside.
Mr. Douglas Wallace who co-owns and runs GK has spent over 30 years in the hospitality business and it shows in all the very considerate touches found all over the villa. The fully equipped kitchen with hood, hob and microwave meant that we could whip-up/warm-up easy meals for the children on the nights they were too tired to venture out. GK also offers the option of meals being prepared at the villa for those who are not culinary inclined or talented in the kitchen for a small additional fee.
Mr. Douglas equally talented other half, Ms.Yani, has a background in architecture and interior design and her personal touches are very evident in the flow of the individual villas. The villas are warm and inviting and all the common areas and walkways blend seamlessly into the landscaped grounds and natural terrain.
The villas themselves are designed using as much natural finishes as possible. The use of sandstone carvings and wall panels, original Balinese paintings, Chinese brush paintings, abstract sculptures and Shantung Silk curtains and bed covers give the villas a very Contemporary Asian feel.
The service was excellent. Our first inkling of GK’s amazing hospitality was via our online booking. Through a series of emails all handled very professionally and efficiently by the front office, all our requests for a mosquito netted baby cot, inflatable pool toys, etc. and etc were all in the villa waiting upon our arrival. We thank Ms. Yvonne Anggreni for handling our booking beautifully. Our butlers Ms. Budi & Mr. Aggus were also wonderful. They handled all our requests big or small with aplomb, good humour and always with good grace. The daily cleaning of the villa was done so unobtrusively that we never ever saw the staff that timed their rounds perfectly whenever we stepped out of the villa. The daily turndown cake was another example of their attention to the small details to make us feel so pampered. We would return to our rooms after a heavy day of shopping or sightseeing to find all our clothes folded neatly and the rooms spotless.
The living room offers a 42inch LCD TV with a DVD/VCD/CD player and Satellite cable TV for our in-house entertainment. The Master bedroom also comes with a 29inch LCD TV for those whose who simply want to luxuriate in bed all day. There was also supposed to be wireless broadband internet connection at our villa which unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, was not working during our stay, “forcing” us to enjoy the company of our friends and family in such lovely surroundings.
As the spa facility is currently being built, all spa services are carried-out in the privacy of one’s individual villa. Even our godchildren got into the act by having yogurt scrubs and body treatments. We were too rushed this trip to fully enjoy the spa services available but will definitely do so on our next trip back.
In conclusion, GK offers the weary traveler a 5 star refuge with 5 star services without the unnecessarily inflated 5-star prices of the neighbouring hotel resorts. The warmth and hospitality shown will ultimately be the reason why more and more visitors will become return visitors and friends of GK. To Mr. Douglas, Ms. Yani and all the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable and comfortable, we thank you and will recommend you highly to all our Bali bound friends and family.
